The fire that almost destroyed Lake Charles nearly 100 years ago will be commemorated in a year-long exhibit at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum. On Friday, Sept. 25 during the Gallery Promenade, the museum will unveil its newest interactive exhibit, Conflagration: The 1910 Fire. See rare photographs and artifacts of Lake Charles before, during and after the fire as well as take part in listening stations and more. Learning about this fire will shed light on how this event continues to affect the way business is conducted today in Lake Charles.
