Locations, Permits, & Productions Services

Thanks to competitive tax incentives, Louisiana has quickly become one of the premier locations for film and television production in the United States. As for Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana, filmmakers can enhance their production value by taking advantage of the unique communities and sub-tropical climate. Located between Houston and New Orleans, Lake Charles has great access to additional film industry services from neighboring areas.

In Lake Charles, our focus is on your production. A small sampling of our location menu includes lakes, a national register historic district, jungle terrain, swampy marshlands, rural towns, and farms. The Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Film Commission is committed to building a motion picture industry by offering unmatched assistance and information.
