Fine wines and culinary treats are in store for those attending the Rouge et Blanc event to be held Saturday, Oct. 15 on the grounds of the Lake Charles Civic Center. More than 100 wines will be featured from all over the world as well as from the primary vineyards in the United States.
Signature foods will be prepared by several restaurants
Continued this year will be a week of wine dinners held prior to Saturday at local restaurants. Make your reservations at the individual restaurants early! Each restaurant will have its own customized menu and wine selection for the evening. The schedule of dinners is listed below:
A silent auction of original art by area artists will again be held. The location will be inside the 1911 Historic City Hall. All proceeds of Rouge et Blanc benefit the McNeese Banners Series. Wines will be for sale at the event at special low prices, and 10 percent of the total sale of wine purchased at the event will also go to the McNeese Banners Series.
Rouge et Blanc is presented by the McNeese Foundation and the Lake Charles Downtown Development Authority. Sponsors include Republic National Distributing Company, Whitney National Bank, L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort, American Press Foundation, Fuerst and Godley, CleanFuelUSA/Empire of the Seed, Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Entergy.
