The Lake Charles Civic Center has a sweeping view of the lake and is a massive facility with extremely versatile rooms for any number of events. Recent improvements include a complete lighting and ceiling makeover in the coliseum, an elegant promenade in the main hallway and renovations to the Exhibition Hall. Second floor changes include new flooring in the Mezzanine and state-of-the-art technology in the Contraband Room. On the third floor, beautiful new wood plank flooring has been installed, and the Buccaneer Room and the Jean Lafitte Room have been completely renovated with new lighting, curtains, and the latest in high-tech gadgets. The Buccaneer Room can also now be separated into three distinct rooms. The restrooms on the second and third floors have been completely renovated and expanded. The plush Rosa Hart Theatre is also in line for renovations.
