Creole Nature Trail
The Creole Nature Trail offers an abundance of activities and wildlife.
In 1975, the Louisiana legislature initially established the Creole Nature Trail as a scenic route. Through the continued support of local governmental bodies, tourist commissions, business organizations and interested citizens, the Louisiana legislature designed the Creole Nature Trail a state scenic route in 1993. In 1995, this same group was instrumental in getting the state legislature to create the Creole Nature Trail Scenic Byway District - the governing board for the trail.
The Creole Nature Trail was recognized as a National Scenic Byway by the Federal Highway Administration's America's Byways program in 1996. And, in 2002, this designation was upgraded to the highest possible status, that of an All-American Road, a destination unto itself.
The Creole Nature is comprised of several different attraction and many possible activities. Follow the links below to get details and learn more about the different aspects of the Creole Nature Trail!
