Lake Charles Partnership Grant Program

Deadline to apply: Friday, February 3, 2017

Description: This is another opportunity for artists and arts organizations within the city limits of Lake Charles.
Amount: Two categories for the Lake Charles Partnership Grant are available – Project Assistance and Organizational SupportProject Assistance applications have a minimum $500 and maximum $3,000 request for a single event.  Organizational Support applications have a limit of up to 25% of the previous year’s operating expenses and not more than $2,000 request limit per application.  Applicants may submit up to 2 applications if desired.
Activity Period: April 1, 2017 - March 31, 2018
Final Report Due: May 5, 2018

Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Arts Funding Grant

Deadline to apply:  Friday, March 3, 2017
Funded by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury
Administered by the Arts Council of SWLA
Description: This program funds fairs, festivals or projects in Calcasieu Parish.
Amount: Minimum request of $500 and a maximum request of $5,000 for a specific arts project.
Activity Period:  April 1, 2017 – March 31, 2018
Final Report Due: May 5, 2018
Notes: Bonus points are available which increase the application's panel score.

Louisiana Office of Tourism's Competitive Grant Program - Marketing Grants

Deadline to apply: Friday, March 17, 2017
Funded and administered by the Louisiana Office of Tourism
Description: To encourage and support marketing initiatives that will attract and retain visitors.
Amount: Up to a 50% cash match for qualifying marketing expenses in promoting a tourism event. Maximum grant award - $10,000.
Activity Period: July 1, 2017 - June 1, 2018
Final Report Due: Due 45 days after the event.

Arts/Tourism Partnership Grants (Tourism Marketing Initiative Grant Program)

Deadline to apply: Friday, April 28, 2017
Funded by the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau
Administered by the Arts Council of SWLA
Description: To encourage and support marketing initiatives that will attract and retain visitors.  Applicants must be domiciled within Calcasieu parish. Marketing tools only for arts nonprofits in Calcasieu Parish
Amount: Up to $2,000
Activity Period: June 15, 2017 – June 15, 2018
Final Report Due: July 31, 2018

Decentralized Arts Funding Grants

Deadline to apply: Thursday, June 15, 2017
Funded by the Louisiana Division of the Arts Administered by the Arts Council of SWLA
Description: The Louisiana Division of the Arts grants over $120,000 on a per-parish, per-capita basis for artists, arts organizations and projects in the region.
Amount: Up to $5,000 for project assistance, and up to 25% of the previous year's operating revenue up to $5,000.
Activity Period: October 1, 2017 – September 30, 2018
Final Report Due: November 2, 2018
