BayouCon Returns to Southwest Louisiana with J.G. Hertzler and Robert O'Reilly from Star Trek

LAKE CHARLES, La. (April 16, 2012)-BayouCon, Southwest Louisiana's original fan produced multi-media convention, is back for its fourth year June 30-July 1 at the Lake Charles Civic Center Exhibition Hall. This anime, comics, sci-fi and gaming convention specializes in giving attendees one on one access to celebrity media guests.

The special media guests this year are J.G. Hertzler and Robert O'Reilly, both from the Star Trek franchise. These men will appear in full makeup and costumes to depict their characters from the television show. In addition to their appearance there will be photo opportunities, a Klingon Breakfast, Cosplay contest and tabletop gaming tournaments. Also, makeup artist John Paladin will be on hand to host a "how to" clinic for creating Klingon makeup and one lucky audience member will be made into a Klingon.

BayouCon is made possible by its non-profit organization, The Southwest Louisiana Science Education Foundation, Inc. This volunteer driven organization is committed to providing an event that is a nontraditional form of the arts that gives individuals a better appreciation for the media represented.

Ticket prices for adults are: Adult Weekend Superpass $20.00, Adult Saturday Only Admission $15.00 and Adult Sunday Only Admission $10.00. Ticket prices for children 11-14 are: Weekend Superpass $15.00, Saturday Only Admission $10.00 and Sunday Only Admission $5.00. Children 10 and under are admitted free with a parent.
