Lake Charles Civic Ballet (LCCB) – Assemblé 2018: Peter Pan

Southeast Tourism Society Top 20 Event

LAKE CHARLES, La. (Feb. 28, 2018)— For the third consecutive year, the Southeast Tourism Society (STS) honored Lake Charles Civic Ballet’s Assemblé as a 2018 Top 20 Event for the month of March.

Lake Charles Civic Ballet invites all Lake Area residents to fly away to Neverland in Assemblé 2018: Peter Pan, on March 17 at 7 p.m. and March 18 at 3 p.m. at the Lake Charles Civic Center Rosa Hart Theatre (900 Lakeshore Dr., Lake Charles, LA).

LCCB’s technical director, Fred Stark, is creating the world of Neverland including Captain Hook’s Jolly Roger and the Lost Boys' treehouse. The wardrobe department has designed detailed costumes for each character in keeping with LCCB's vision. Included in the performance are original compositions by local musician Ty Ellender, and Eric Hayes armed LCCB’s performers with fencing techniques, featured in the final battle against Captain Hook. Deep South Productions illuminates the story of Peter and his friends, and Flying by Foy provides the magical fairy dust that gives the characters flight. With original choreography by artistic director, Lady Holly Hathaway Kaough, along with Nancy Higginbotham and Drew Anderson, the production continues LCCB’s legacy of original work. Tickets are available at the Lake Charles Civic Center box office or through Ticketmaster.

The Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau is a member of STS, an organization that promotes travel to and within the southeastern part of the United States.
