Lake Charles Realtor to be Featured on TLC's "My First Home" Again

LAKE CHARLES, La. (May 21, 2014)- In February, Authentic Entertainment was in town again for a week working with local realtor, Nikki Pruitt, on TLC's "My First Home," set to air Saturday, May 31 at 11 a.m.

Pruitt was featured on a "My First Home" episode last year. This year, the episode will feature former KPLC Sports Reporter Charlie Bartlett and his wife Samantha Bartlett, a former Cowgirl Kicker, who both currently work in the local hospitality industry at L'Auberge Casino Resort.

Lindsay Tuggle, field producer, mentioned that having the show on TLC is a good way to showcase the city as well as the realtor. "My First Home always shows a great place to live and has a happy ending," said Tuggle.

"This is the first time we've used a realtor twice. We felt good about revisiting Lake Charles because of how well Nikki did last time," said Tuggle.

"I told them the first time before they arrived that once they came down to Lake Charles they would want to come back," said Nikki Pruitt, Keller Williams realtor. "Just like last season, it was a lot of work, but it was amazing working with the crew. Sam and Charlie will make such a cute episode."

The Southwest Louisiana Film Commission, an umbrella organization of the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau, assisted with accommodations, local production assistants, and location scouting.

"My First Home" follows potential home buyers through the highs and lows of their first home purchase. For more information on the Southwest Louisiana Film Commission, check out or call 337-436-9588. For more information on TLC, log onto
