LAKE CHARLES, La. (May 2, 2012)-The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Baseball State Championships tournament will be in Sulphur at McMurry Park May 11-12. Classes 4A, 3A, B and C will be competing to earn championship titles for their respective classes.
"Sulphur Parks and Recreation is honored to be the first LHSAA Baseball Championship Event to host four classes at one site at McMurry Park," said Norman Farr, director of Sulphur Parks and Recreation. "We look forward to creating a unique championship environment for the players, coaches and fans. Fans and players alike will be part of an outstanding Championship Series that creates a synergy that promotes great baseball. The diversity of our Southwest Louisiana culture hosting the eight Semifinal and four Championship games open for all to attend at one location will create a special baseball event that is greater than the sum of its individual parts."
