Downtown Lake Charles

Downtown Lake Charles transforms each December as the Lakefront is adorned with larger-than-life displays of the 12 Days of Christmas. Families can enjoy extended holiday hours at the Millennium Park which kicks off on November 30th during the annual Light Up the Lake Celebration. Plan a cozy date night carriage ride or fun group outing along Shell Beach Drive, where extravagant historic homes are decked with thousands of glimmering lights. Don't miss the inaugural Jingle and Mingle: The Magical Christmas on Shell Beach Drive, where select homes will feature carolers and performers during self-guided tours of the neighborhood.

Central Lake Charles

Canal Street in central Lake Charles is a Christmas lights tour must-see. The Richard family's decorations span nearly a block, with scenes from the North Pole, a full nativity, and dozens of radiant Christmas trees on the front lawn. Their decorations have become a beloved holiday tradition in the heart of Lake Charles.

South Lake Charles

South Lake Charles is a destination bursting with cheer as many businesses and neighborhoods go all out for the season. Trinity Baptist Church covers an entire block with jolly displays and twinkling synchronized lights— just tune to 88.9 FM to enjoy classic holiday hymns. More charming displays await at Prien Lake Park, including a giant Christmas tree, perfect for capturing holiday memories.

Sulphur

Sulphur

The radiant holiday displays along Pecan Street in Sulphur feel straight out of a Hallmark movie! Stroll down the street for numerous picture-perfect moments, or hop on a carriage ride through the neighborhood before heading to the Henning Cultural Center grounds and The Grove at Heritage Square for more picture-worthy locations.

Don't miss Christmas Under the Oaks and Holiday House, a three-day event from December 5-7, offering over 40 artisans, carriage rides down Pecan Street, a carnival, delicious food, live music, snow, and a parade all centered around downtown Sulphur.

Christmas on the Hill kicks off Thanksgiving night with thousands of shimmering lights and displays synchronized to holiday classics and modern hits. The Christmas show includes a towering 20-foot Christmas tree, twinkling arches, candy canes, and more.

 

Carlyss

Locals flock to Choupique Road in Carlyss annually for the Lawton family's Christmas display. Each year they set up decorations passed down for generations and allow the public to drive through and take photos. You may even see a Grinchy special guest!

Westlake

In Westlake, the Christmas spirit is on full display, with a friendly decorating competition among residents. Grab your crew, sip some hot chocolate, and enjoy your favorite Christmas carols as you drive past beautiful displays. At the end of your holly jolly holiday tour, head to The Max for delicious bites and festive drinks.
