Groovin' at the Grove is the newest outdoor music series in the Lake Area that you do not want to miss. The concerts will be on the beautiful Great Lawn, located in the center of the Walnut Grove neighborhood, 1450 William St (off of W. Sallier St) in Lake Charles overlooking the Estuary and Contraband Bayou. Each of the three shows in this first series will take place on the first Thursday of March, April, and May. There will be local restaurants selling food and beverages, food trucks and tons of fun for the family!
The official musical lineup includes Jamie Bergeron & The Kickin’ Cajuns on March 2, Louisiana Red on April 6 and Nik-L-Beer on May 4. All shows will take place from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
We encourage everyone to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the music. Parking is free and available throughout the neighborhood. No ice chests please. For event updates, a full list of sponsors and event food vendors please check the event’s Facebook page.
The Walnut Grove Institute was created by Walnut Grove Development to support and promote local art, music, health initiatives, environmental conservation and community involvement. The Walnut Grove Institute partnered with NAI Latter & Blum and Moffett Realty as well as local businesses to bring a free music series to the Walnut Grove Neighborhood, for the Lake Area community to enjoy.
