On Sunday, March 22, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards issued a stay-at-home order to combat coronavirus spread. The order requires Louisiana residents to shelter-at-home unless going out for essential tasks effective until April 12. Amos Orr moved to Lake Charles in 2008 from northern Indiana. Sometimes called "the Damn Yankee" by his Lake Charles friends, he has embraced the culture, food, and destination as his own, living as a perpetual tourist in his own hometown. After a short stint of living in New Orleans from 2015-2018, Amos has returned to Lake Charles with a newfound appreciation for the community and all it has to offer.
