Itinerant Theatre proudly announces next installment of New Plays Selected for 2017 Coffee House Theatre and New Play Reading Series

Following a nationwide call-out for new play submissions, Itinerant Theatre (IT) selected 13 ten-minute or short (under an hour) plays which will be presented as staged readings at IT’s monthly Coffee House Theatre.  The next installment of 5 of the 13 plays will be performed on April 1st at 7:00 pm at Stellar Beans Coffee House & Edibles. The professional cast for April readings are all local:  Ronald Doyle, Jo Ann Hanks, Travis Spears, Shauna Temple, Carolyn Woosley, with Joy Pace as Director.

  •  A Family Matter by Grace Epstein: Difficulties involving gun violence & family relationships.
  • My Life as a Circus Baby by Jeanette Farr: Examination of “being different” – and seeking acceptance and connection.
  • Loaded for Bear by Jeanette Farr: A couple explores what’s important in the face of bears and a wildfire.
  • A Cool 13  by Jim Weinzettle: Greed, corruption, and the American way. 
  • How to Talk to a Girl Wearing Headphones by Adrienne Dawes: Comic piece about the difficulties of communication & relationships in a tech-heavy world.
