Country Cajun Classics Gene Watson and Jo-el Sonnier - Gene Watson is an American country singer. He is most famous for his 1975 hit "Love in the Hot Afternoon," his 1981 #1 hit "Fourteen Carat Mind" and his signature song "Farewell Party." Watson's long career has notched six number ones, 23 top ten and over 75 charted singles. Jo-El Sonnier is an American singer-songwriter and accordionist who performs country music and Cajun music. Sonnier charted several singles on the Billboard country charts in the late 1970s. By the late 1980s, he had signed to RCA Records, breaking through with the Top Ten hits "No More One More Time" and a cover of Richard Thompson's "Tear Stained Letter". He has recorded more than thirty albums, primarily on independent labels.
