Multi-Grammy award winner, George Benson will bring his smooth jazz/R&B style to the Golden Nugget’s Grand Event Center on Friday, April 27 at 8:30 PM. Raised in Pittsburgh, Benson was began playing guitar at a young age and was considered a child prodigy. He infrequently sang vocals until the release of “This Masquerade” on his Breezin’ album, for which he was awarded the Grammy for Record of the Year in 1977. He is known for using a rest-stroke picking technique similar to that of gypsy jazz players. Among his many hits are “Breezin’”, “Turn Your Love Around”, and ”Give Me The Night”.
Tickets go on sale Friday, February 2 with prices starting at $50, available online at www.goldennuggetlc.com or by visiting the Golden Nugget Box Office, open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM with extended hours on concert days. Tickets purchased online may be picked up from the Golden Nugget Box Office on the day of the show from 11 AM to 8 PM only.
