The Ninth Annual Iowa Arts and Crafts Festival will be held on Saturday, August 26 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Iowa Multi Purpose Center located at 207 U.S. Hwy. 90 W in Iowa, LA.
This event is free & open to the public thanks to these generous sponsors: Calcasieu Parish Public Library, Friends of the Library, Calcasieu, the Town of Iowa, Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Capital One Bank, the Iowa Police Department, and the Iowa Volunteer Fire Department.
This year's event will include:
live entertainment by local musicians, arts and crafts demonstrations by local artisans, pony rides, Shriner Clown "Hobo Bill & friends" will be creating balloon art for children and so much more!
Some of the artisans include Emma Hughes, Rex Alexander, Andrew Fritzenschaft, Linda Leonard, Robert Baxter, Frank McDonald, Jim Benoit, Rod Talbot, and many more. Local authors including Curt Iles and Mary Guidy-Ringo will also be on hand as well as the SWLA Literacy Council and the Library's Outreach team. Music will be provided by R.D. "Red Dog" Hebert.
Free refreshments provided by Coca-Cola and Capital One Bank will be available.
