The Youth Leadership Institute is a week-long program geared towards teaching youth leadership and team-building skills that will benefit them for years to come. By teaching these vital skills to the youth of today we support the leaders of tomorrow. Youth who participate in the Youth Leadership Institute will: explore concepts of leadership, improve leadership skills in a creative and engaged way, gain a better understanding of self and sensitivity to others, and; participate in a series of skill building exercises focused on leadership.
The Youth Leadership Institute is open to youth who will be entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade during the 2017-2018 school year. Youth can attend the institute during the week of June 19th-23rd. The Institute is week-long, and takes place from 9 am to 4 pm each day at Family & Youth Counseling Agency at 220 Louie St. Lake Charles, LA.
The Youth Leadership Institute cost is $125 per student ($100 for additional children in the same household). Lunch and snacks will be provided daily. For more information or to register, visit www.fyca.org or contact Laura Perry at 337-436-9533.
