Mistletoe and Moss Holiday Market

Jumpstart your Christmas spirit at the Junior League of Lake Charles’ annual Mistletoe & Moss Holiday Market, which will be held Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 15-18 at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

This year, more than 80 vendors from all over the United States will set up shop at the event. Booths will feature items for everyone, including apparel, jewelry and accessories, specialty foods and seasonal and year-round decorative items and home furnishings. Organizers are expecting about 6,000 shoppers.

The 25th Anniversary Preview Party Gala will be held from 7-10 p.m. on Wednesday. Shoppers can feast on delicacies from fine area restaurants, as well as sip on cocktails and listen to live entertainment – all while doing some early Christmas shopping. Tickets for the gala are $50 per person.

Also, don’t miss Friday’s special event, Ladies Night: Sip and Shop from 5-8 p.m. Ladies Night includes live entertainment, hors d’eouvres provided by Luna Bar and Grill as well as complimentary cocktails. Tickets for this event are $25 per person.

In addition, there will be Cookies with Santa & Friends on Saturday, with seatings at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Kids can meet with Santa, write their Santa letters, make reindeer food and decorate cookies. Tickets are $15 per child. Don’t forget your camera to take a picture with Santa.

Mistletoe and Moss shopping hours are 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person. Children 8 and under get in free and no stroller fee. The event is open to the community.
