Wine and Dine!

Whether you are dining in a resort or around town in Southwest Louisiana, you are sure to get your fill of flavors that will melt in your mouth and make your eyes sparkle with delight! La Truffe Sauvage 

The finest, seasonal ingredients are used by the chefs at La Truffe Sauvage, and this gem of a fine dining experience is tucked away inside a building with wall to ceiling glass, giving patrons the sense of dining inside of a garden. While reservations are not required, they are recommended. The dress code for gentlemen is collared shirts and slacks, with casual cocktail attire for women. 

Restaurant Calla

Located inside the Walnut Grove neighborhood, Restaurant Calla was designed with purpose. The atmosphere is elevated casual dining with a commitment pushing the limits creatively. It is an artistic, creative, and relaxed place for dining and brunch. Favorite menu items are the blue crab beignets and the Calla burger. Also, join Calla for Sunday brunch. 

Villa Harlequin 

The Villa Harlequin brings together two of the oldest restaurant family legacies in Lake Charles, Harlequin Steaks and Seafood and The Villa. The menu consists of a fusion between Harlequin and Villa favorites. Located in the Historic Noble Building on Pujo St., the dining experience is complemented by an exquisite wine selection and elegant two-story dining space. 

Mazen’s 

From succulent seafood appetizers such as oyster Rockefeller/Bienville and crab crepes to Mediterranean treats like kibbie, grape leaves and baba ghanoush, Mazen’s Cajun/Creole/Mediterranean blend of flavors and menu items are tantalizing. This fine dining experience must be followed by their signature souffle, but make sure to order that dish early!

The James 710 

One of the newest restaurants in the Lake Area, The James 710, features creative cocktails with farm to table herbs and spices. Many of the dishes are heart-healthy, but they also offer decadent selections if you’re looking to stray from you diet. Interesting combinations like beat root hummus, and yellowfin tuna or brisket tacos make for a memorable meal. Patio dining and live music is available on select evenings, and Saturday brunch is also served.

Fire & Oak  

Another new addition to the dining scene is Fire & Oak, with indoor seating, a bar area and outdoor seating under lighted oaks trees. From scallops served with pineapple fried rice, wasabi, beurre blanc to a blueberry mojito with run, blueberry, lime, mint and Topo Chico, Fire & Oak will have you on your toes for what comes out of the kitchen next!  

Pujo St. Café 

Right in the heart of downtown Lake Charles, Pujo Street Café is a Lake Charles tradition – perfect for indoor or covered outdoor dining. From the time-tested Monte Cristo to the ahi tuna and filet mignon, you will savor every flavor – including a full bar. Also, enjoy beignets and mimosas for Sunday brunches. 

Golden Nugget: 
Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse 

Vic & Antony’s Steakhouse has a cozy atmosphere, tucked away from the glittering casino ambiance. This award-winning is the ideal place to enjoy fine steakhouse dining. Featuring only the best ingredients, the menu offers USDA Prime Midwest grain-fed beef, savory appetizers, fresh seafood, decadent desserts, and exquisite wine. 

Golden Nugget:
The Chart House

The Chart House located on the Country Club at Golden Nugget Golf Course, has a stunning view of the bridge, lake and sunset. Complete with outdoor firepits and a wall of ceiling to floor glass, it’s impossible to not enjoy the destination while tasting the delectable dishes, cocktails and wine offerings of The Chart House. Not to mention – an outdoor porch area complete with seating and a firepit for pre or post dinner drinks!

L’Auberge:
Ember

Ember’s entryway is intriguing as the flicker of a fireplace glows in the distance. The restaurant is divided into sections with the upscale piano bar greeting visitors. Patrons can order appetizers and drinks from the piano bar area, or white tablecloth formal seating is available – along with a private room for special occasions. The steaks, seafood and desserts are topnotch!

Delta Downs:
Rosewater Grill & Tavern

Rosewater Grill & Tavern features a sweeping view of the racetrack where you can dine in style. The upscale bar area features bright white tiles and deep brown hues, perfect for an aperitif. The sunken-in art deco dining area adds to the charm of this Cajun/Creole Steakhouse. Save room for the molten lava cake!
