MONICA HEBERT, ARTIST Originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, Monica began painting when she was 28. Completely self-taught, her style ranges from Impressionism, to realism, to modern. Her work is collected by individuals around the country in private collections. Monica loves the SWLA landscape. She has fond memories of boating, hiking, fishing and hunting with her Dad. Monica weaves those memories into each landscape and abstract she paints.

Ms. Hebert’s work has been described as a “ Compelling, rich, emotional and stunning body of work by a stunning human being” - private collector.
Her entire collection of paintings show her interest in a myriad of subjects: whimsy, elegant, hyper, eclectic, and luxuriant. All of her work focuses on her love for the Louisiana geography, or landscape and in particular the trees of Louisiana. Ms. Hebert often refer to trees as the “ silent centurions” of the land.
