We believe that it is the sport of fishing that intrigues large numbers as well as size is what we're striving to achieve. our lake is stocked with a variety of fish such as bluegill, redear sunfish, Threadfin shad, Gizzard shad, fathead minnows, and golden shiners. Every species of fish in our preserve has a function in the overall eco-chain. these fish were selected not only to provide a source of food for the bass, but to develop an eco-chain which is self perpetuating. Big Woods Fish and Game Preserve constantly maintains the population of various species in the lakes. The preserve consists of 360-acres of pristine waters and habitats that support an abundant amount of migratory deer and water fowl.
