Entertainment and Event Center

A 3-level, 3-part complex, the Lake Charles Civic Center, is located in the heart of downtown Lake Charles.  The James E. Sudduth Coliseum has a flexible seating capacity of 7,450 people and is able to accommodate basketball games, cheer and dance competitions, indoor football, gymnastics meets, martial arts competitions, rodeos and equestrian events and volley ball.  Another option to consider is the Rosa Hart Theatre, located on the south side of the Civic Center.  Its fixed seating capacity is 2,050 and has been used for numerous dance recitals and world-class productions such as the Russian Nutcracker.  Located at the Lake Charles Civic Center, Bord du Lac Park features four lighted tennis courts with clay surfaces. A sidewalk follows the lakefront from the grounds of the Civic Center to a natural sand beach near Interstate 10. The Lady Claire Dock, on the south side of the Civic Center, is an ideal spot for loading and unloading passengers onto shimmering Lake Charles for water sports.
