Immaculate Conception Cathedral
Built using a dramatic dark red brick, the Romanesque Revival Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception serves the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lake Charles and is the third of the Favrot and Livadais buildings in this trio of recovery architecture from the Great Fire. The great interior spaces are graced by Viennese stained glass windows and Carrara marble gothic altars in the naves. The five story bell tower houses a one-ton working bell named "Mary."
