LAKE CHARLES, La. (April 16, 2013)-Avast...Australia meets Louisiana? Attendees enjoying the Contraband Days Louisiana Pirate Festival will be introduced to the wonders of "Down Under" and be able to interact with several different species of pouched animals such as kangaroos, wallabies and wallaroos on the grounds of the Lake Charles Civic Center.
Also offered are other native Australian wildlife including lizards and birds such as the kookaburra, rainbow lorikeet and bearded and frill dragons. Seeing, touching and hearing the stories behind these captivating creatures will capture the imaginations of everyone.
