"Strength in Unity" Bayou Classic Christian Fellowship of Southwest Louisiana

LAKE CHARLES, La. (November 13, 2014)-The Evangelism Ministry of Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church will host its 9th annual "Bayou Classic Christian Fellowship of Southwest Louisiana" Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 22-23, which includes a career fair with several Louisiana colleges and vocational schools. The purpose of this fellowship is to further the gospel of Jesus Christ and assist area youth and young adults in making career and educational choices.

On Saturday, Nov. 22, the parade kicks off at 11 a.m. with line up at 9:30 a.m. at Fitzenreiter Road. Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church and Washington Marion Magnet High School will line up at MLK Center.

The parade route starts at the Martin Luther King Community Center, 2009 North Simmons Street; precedes south on Simmons to Moeling; west on Moeling to Prater; south on Prater to Opelousas; west on Opelousas to Shattuck; north on Shattuck to the Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church parking lot.

Food, fun, and a career fair will follow the parade with outdoor stage entertainment. The representatives include Grambling State University, Southern University, McNeese State University, Calcasieu Business and Career Solutions Center, and lake area vocational schools.

On Sunday, Nov. 23, attend Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. taught by alumnae of Grambling State University and Southern University. Afterwards, worship will be held at 11 a.m. with guest speaker Dr. Everett Gibson, alumnus and retired professor of Southern University.
