The Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau (LC/SWLA CVB) is teaming up with Brand USA to create international marketing videos that showcase local music. The LC/SWLA CVB and Brand USA invite everyone to come out to show support for jazz, Cajun and Zydeco music at local hot spots, so be sure to mark your calendars.

There will be three performances, with the Streetside Jazz Band from 2-4 p.m. at Luna Bar & Grill, 719 Ryan St., on Wednesday, Oct. 11, followed by Cajun band, Née de Tradition at Sloppy’s Downtown, 329 Broad St., at 4:30 p.m. that same evening.

Thursday, Oct. 12, Rusty Metoyer & the Zydeco Krush will be performing starting at 6:30 p.m. at Jack Daniel’s Bar & Grill located inside L’Auberge Casino Resort, 777 Avenue L’Auberge.

“We have incredible musical talent right here in Southwest Louisiana. These three bands represent a sampling of the variety of music that can be found any given week with jazz, Cajun and Zydeco all representing a taste of the musical heritage of Louisiana. We are inviting people to enjoy these performances and be part of the crowd in the videos that will be used to promote Southwest Louisiana,” said Angie Manning, communications director at the LC/SWLA CVB.
