LAKE CHARLES, La. (May 1, 2013)-The Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau is compiling a virtual cookbook in order to showcase the culinary treasures of the area. The cookbook will contain recipes from both professional and amateurs.

"The bureau has noticed an increase in web traffic for visitors looking for Cajun recipes. The virtual cookbook will be perfect for meeting the demands of visitors, and while they are on the site, they will also be exposed to all there is to experience in Southwest Louisiana. It will be a way to capture an audience who is already interested in our culture," said Angie Manning, communications director.

The cookbook will feature anything and everything from appetizers to salads, main courses to desserts. In order to submit your recipe, log onto www.visitlakecharles.org/yum. For more information, contact the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau at (337) 436-9588.
