The Creole Nature Trail is a 180 mile driving tour with several areas that allow you to get out of your vehicle and explore Southwest Louisiana’s wild and rugged terrain. Venture into marshlands to experience gators or walk along boardwalks that meander through vast wetlands to spot unique bird life such as roseate spoonbills, glossy ibis, gallinule, and great blue heron. Fuel and public restrooms along the trail are limited. For your ease, these facilities located along the trail are listed below. When heading into Louisiana's Outback, it's also a good idea to fuel up, as well as purchase ice and other supplies, in Lake Charles or Sulphur before hitting the trail.
