  1. Crying Eagle Brewing Co. in Lake Charles features a 15,000-square-foot facility to produce craft beer. With indoor and outdoor stages, a private events space and a landscaped outdoor beer garden, you'll definitely want to visit. Crying Eagle serves seasonal hand-crafted beers and features a two-story tap room. The brewery also offers tours and has live band performances.

  2. The craft beer tourism trend has been on the rise, and another brewery, Rikenjaks Brewing Company has made its comeback in Lake Charles, which first made its debut in the 1990s. Rikenjaks is now open from 11 a.m. – til seven days a week as a new venue for drinking, eating and music.
  3.  With no shortage of quality sugar cane in Louisiana, craft spirits; specifically rum, has had a renaissance of its own. The Louisiana rum tradition is brought to life by the Louisiana Spirits Distillery. See first-hand how the company’s popular Bayou Rum is produced during free tours offered Tuesday-Saturday throughout the day.
