Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana has a vibrant and rich history and culture. When you visit the USS Orleck Naval Museum you will have a unique experience, never to be forgotten. The Children's Museum has interactive exhibits and the Mardi Gras Museum has the largest collection of Mardi Gras costumes from local Krewes that you will not soon forget. 

History buffs should visit the 1911 Historic City Hall in Lake Charles and for railroad historians be sure to spend time at the DeQuincy Railroad Museum.
