Kyle Edmiston Appointed to Board of Directors of Destinations International

Kyle Edmiston CEOWashington, D.C. (July 20, 2020) – Destinations International (DI) announced the new 2020-2021 association Board of Directors and foundation Board of Trustees. Visit Lake Charles’ President/CEO, Kyle Edmiston will serve as a new board member for a three-year term on the DI Board of Directors which represents the travel industry worldwide.

“Destinations International is a beacon of light for the travel and tourism industry. With the staggering effects that the industry is experiencing due to the pandemic, I am humbled and honored to serve alongside many of my seasoned colleagues representing communities from around the world. Together, with courage, ingenuity and tenacity, we will strive to find creative solutions for the tourism sector as the hospitality industry is powerful economic driver that impacts our daily lives,” said Edmiston. 

Butch Spyridon, president and CEO of the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation assumed the role of Chair of Destinations International. John Lambeth, president and CEO of Civitas, assumed the role of Chair of the Destinations International Foundation.

“Destinations International and the Destinations International Foundation are driven by the experienced volunteers serving on our boards and committees,” said Don Welsh, president and CEO of Destinations International. “We are truly grateful for the time, counsel and service these individuals dedicate to our industry and we look forward to their leadership during their time as a Board member and beyond.”
