Visit Lake Charles, the official destination marketing organization for Southwest Louisiana, announces the launch of its Resident Sentiment Survey. This survey aims to gather valuable insights from the local community to better understand how residents perceive tourism and its impact on the region.
The Resident Sentiment Survey, scheduled to start on February 24 and close on March 11, is part of Visit Lake Charles' ongoing efforts to engage with residents and foster a collaborative approach to destination management. By understanding the community's perspectives on tourism development, economic impact, environmental concerns, and quality of life, Visit Lake Charles seeks to ensure that tourism benefits both residents and the local economy.
“As we continue positioning Southwest Louisiana for long-term success, it’s essential that our residents are part of the conversation,” said Kyle Edmiston, President/CEO of Visit Lake Charles. “Tourism impacts our economy, our infrastructure, and our quality of life. This survey gives us the opportunity to listen, learn, and ensure our strategies reflect the priorities and values of the people who call this region home.”
The survey will cover a range of topics, including economic development, environmental impacts, overtourism, and overall quality of life. Residents are encouraged to participate and share their perspectives to contribute to the future of tourism in Southwest Louisiana.
The Resident Sentiment Survey can be accessed at https://bit.ly/residentsurvey2026. Those who complete the survey will be entered to win two $75 gift cards to two local restaurants. Visit Lake Charles encourages all residents to take part and share their thoughts to help shape the future of tourism in Southwest Louisiana.
