Visit Lake Charles Director of Association Sales Emily Treme has been named to the Destinations International 2026 “30 Under 30” class, a global recognition honoring emerging leaders in the destination organization and tourism industry.
Selected through a competitive process, the program identifies 30 professionals under the age of 30 who are shaping the future of the industry through innovation, leadership and impact. Participants gain access to year-long professional development, networking and mentorship opportunities designed to support the next generation of tourism leaders.
Since joining Visit Lake Charles in 2023, Treme has been an integral member of the sales team, helping attract major meetings to Southwest Louisiana, including the Louisiana Travel Summit and the Louisiana Municipal Association Annual Convention, and contributing to the most successful year of meetings and conventions in the organization’s history.
“We are incredibly proud to see Emily recognized,” said Taylor Beard Stanley, vice president of sales at Visit Lake Charles. “Her growth over the past few years has been impressive, and it has been rewarding to watch her continue to step into her role.”
“I’m so honored to receive this recognition from Destinations International,” Treme said. “This award is a reflection of the support from my team and community, and it motivates me to keep growing and creating meaningful impact for Southwest Louisiana.”
“The 30 Under 30 and Rising Industry Professionals programs are a critical initiative directly aligned with the mission and vision of our association and foundation,” said Don Welsh, president & CEO of Destinations International. “The destinations sector and travel and tourism industry continue to offer a wide range of exciting career opportunities, and it is more essential than ever that we identify, support and elevate our future leaders. We are proud to welcome the Destinations International 30 Under 30 and Rising Industry Professionals Classes of 2026.”
