Visit Lake Charles expanded its sports sales team to include Aubrey Caldwell as the sports event coordinator, and the sales team welcomed Toni Chapman as the destination services specialist. Caldwell and Chapman will play vital roles in spurring economic development for the Southwest Louisiana (SWLA) region.

Caldwell is a 2020 Barbe High School graduate pursing her Bachelor of Science in business management at McNeese State University, where she is on track to earn her degree this spring. She began her career in hospitality as the assistant manager at The Back Porch, a local restaurant, where she excelled at team management, entertainment bookings, and inventory processing.

“I am thrilled to have Aubrey join the sports sales team,” said Eric Zartler, senior vice president of sports at Visit Lake Charles. “In the short time that she has been here, she has added a fresh perspective to interacting and engaging with our partners and clients, which will be tremendously valuable as we work to bring more sporting events to Southwest Louisiana.”

Chapman graduated from McNeese State University in 2018, obtaining an Associate of General Studies with a concentration in arts and humanities, as well as a Bachelor of Science in mass communications with a concentration in public relations. Most recently, Chapman was an academic advisor at SOWELA Technical Community College, and she is a current member of the Junior League of Lake Charles.

“Toni is a great addition to our team at Visit Lake Charles. Her work experience, educational background, and community involvement has developed skills that will make Toni successful in this role,” said Taylor Beard Stanley, vice president of sales at Visit Lake Charles. “I have no doubt our clients will enjoy working with Toni to book our destination’s service offerings for their upcoming meetings and events hosted in SWLA.”

Visit Lake Charles is a destination marketing organization committed to promoting Southwest Louisiana as a destination by attracting outside visitation through marketing and sales initiatives, which develops the local community and economy and mutually benefits residents and visitors.
