Get ready for a week of thrilling high school baseball action! The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) 2025 State Baseball Tournament will come swinging into Sulphur May 13-17 at McMurry Park.
Southwest Louisiana proudly serves as the home to four LHSAA state championship events, and for the 11th consecutive year, Sulphur Parks and Recreation (SPAR) will host the baseball tournament. SPAR also welcomes athletes for the state softball and swimming championships, while the boys’ basketball state tournament takes place at the Burton Complex, its home for the past 12 years.
Together, these events bring approximately 52,000 visitors to Southwest Louisiana annually, with nearly 15,000 fans attending the baseball tournament alone.
What’s New This Year?
The 2025 tournament features an updated playoff format. Select semifinal games will take place Tuesday, May 13, at McMurry Park, while larger divisions will hold their semifinal matchups at the higher seed’s home field. Championship games for Class C, Class B, and Division IV Select and Non-Select will be played on Wednesday, May 14th. The championship series for select and non-select divisions I-III will follow a best-of-three format, scheduled from Thursday through Saturday, with Saturday reserved if game 3 is needed.
