On Sunday, March 22, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards issued a stay-at-home order to combat coronavirus spread. The order requires Louisiana residents to shelter-at-home unless going out for essential tasks effective until April 12. Situated at the intersection of the two major railroads - the original townsite in 1895 - the museum has sustained its turn-of-the-century beginnings with historical landmarks. Visitor information available. Steam engine, passenger car and a caboose on display, library located upstairs. Membership and donations welcomed. Adjacent to the museum is a playground with rides, picnic tables and a pavilion. Perfect for family outings or a day with the kids.
