ABOUT THE EPISODE

Guest Kailey Newcity, an ambassador for FARA and board member for Families for Inclusion, joins hosts Brady and Jillian on Louisiana’s Playground to discuss accessible opportunities in Southwest Louisiana and the great outdoor activities that are truly inclusive.

ABOUT THE GUEST

Kailey Newcity is an ambassador for FARA and board member for Families for Inclusion, a local non-profit that aims to aid people with disabilities.

At 23, she was diagnosed with Friedreich’s ataxia, a neurodegenerative disorder that affects the nervous system and causes loss of coordination and movement.

Despite that diagnosis, she doesn’t let it deter her from living life, advocating for all disabilities and learning new ways to continue doing what brings her joy.
