ABOUT THE GUEST 

Tracie Ramey is the park manager at Sam Houston Jones State Park. She’s worked with the Office of Louisiana State Parks for the last 7 years, moving to Lake Charles in August 2021. Ramey said she was motivated to help restore the park to its former glory, and despite not being from Southwest Louisiana, she said nowhere else has ever felt so much like home.
