Resources for Businesses & Organizations

Between the hurricanes and Winter Storm Uri, rebuilding for residence has seemed like an insurmountable task in many situations. But there is hope and our community has stuck together and helped each other. Below are some tools and resources from various government entities and non-profits.

Update Your Business Info

If you are a business owner in the hospitality industry, make sure that your place of business is listed accurately on Visit Lake Charles. If you need to make updates, please select the category below.

City of Lake Charles

The City is working alongside local, state, and federal agencies to rebuild Lake Charles in a smart, progressive way with future growth and prosperity as the focus to be enjoyed by generations. Cameron Parish

  • Feb 28 - Cameron Parish has removed a total of 1,102,686 cubic yards to date and will continue to collect debris through February 28th.
  • March 15 - The Cameron Parish Police Jury and the Cameron Lion’s Club announce their partnership in creating a Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRC). The LTRC will streamline donated resources and coordinate volunteer efforts. LTCR will also provide forgivable loans directly to business owners and residents to aid in recovery efforts. The application period will open on March 15, 2021.

Community Foundation

We’ve raised more than $5.5 million from individuals and companies in the weeks following Hurricane Laura. Fundraising continues because recovery is expected to take months and federal relief takes time to reach people and nonprofits. Learn more about our efforts to help good causes here.
