Mardi Gras of Southwest Louisiana, Inc., is a volunteer organization with a board of directors that oversees many of the major Mardi Gras events in Southwest Louisiana. The organization throws a month-long, family-friendly festival with many non-profit public events that focus on the heritage of Louisiana and Mardi Gras. The organization depends on corporate sponsorships, grants, and donations for its funding. Mardi Gras of Southwest Louisiana events include the 12th Night activities, Boat Parade, Merchants' Parade, Gumbo Cookoff, Children's Day activities and the Children's Parade, the Royal Gala, and all parades taking place on Mardi Gras day in downtown Lake Charles.

You're invited to participate in the Mardi Gras contest and parades! Parade entries can be accepted up until the day of each parade. Call Rebecca Moss at 337-425-8623 for a drop-off location.
