Pride in Southwest Louisiana isn’t just a single day on the calendar; it’s a feeling and a sense of community that shows up all year long. While SWLA Pride Fest brings an unforgettable burst of color, music, and celebration to Lake Charles each June, the spirit of Pride can be experienced in every sunset stroll, every shared meal, and every creative space across the region.
Pride Takes Center Stage
Each year, SWLA Pride Fest transforms Lake Charles into a vibrant celebration of love, inclusion, and self-expression. From live entertainment and drag performances to family-friendly activities and community connection, Pride Fest is a joyful reminder that Southwest Louisiana is a place where everyone belongs.
This year, SWLA Pride Fest celebrates its 5th year on June 13, 2026, and the first one that will be held downtown at the Lake Charles Event Center. This is a free event for the whole family with games, arts & crafts, local vendors, and more starting at 1 pm. Drag artists from across south Louisiana will be performing throughout the day, with the main event starting at 8 pm. This is open to anyone 16 years and older and is ticketed. Get yours before they sell out! Not to mention, for the first time ever, a RuPaul’s Drag Race superstar will be headlining the Fest! Drag Race All-Star, Jorgeous, will be dancing, twirling, and serving face on the main stage at 10 pm that evening. There will be an afterparty, of course! More details are to come.
Whether you're dancing in the crowd, cheering on performers, or simply soaking in the energy, Pride Fest is the perfect starting point for your visit—but it’s far from the only highlight.
