Meet Eloise and Grant, the Lake Charles couple featured in the premiere season of Say Yes to the Venue.
Bride-to-be Eloise Boullion is a McNeese State University graduate with a degree in graphic design and marketing. She's pursuing an MBA at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette while she works as a digital media specialist at the Calcasieu Parish School Board.
Grant Kelly, Eloise's fiancé, also holds a graphic design degree, earning his from SOWELA Technical Community College. He channels his creative energy as the Creative Director at Bayou Technologies. Beyond his professional endeavors, Grant's involvement with the Arts & Humanities Council Of Southwest Louisiana reveals his commitment to the cultural heartbeat of Lake Charles.
It wasn't a case of love at first sight when Eloise and Grant first crossed paths in high school. A humorous encounter at a local coffee shop—an unorthodox conversation over a shoe on the counter—paved the way for their unique love story to unfold. Their connection grew stronger over time as they discovered shared connections and mutual friends. Eloise, reflecting on their journey, fondly recollects, "There was a connection at first, we just knew."
After years of companionship and shared experiences, Grant decided it was time to take their bond to new heights.
Grant's thoughtfulness culminated in a proposal that embodied the essence of their love story. He proposed in French—Eloise's mother's native language—a gesture that resonated with her deeply. As the pieces of their love story fell into place, Eloise and Grant found themselves drawn to their hometown, Lake Charles, to say their 'I do's.' Despite Eloise's initial inclination to elope to accommodate her European family, it was Grant's poignant reminder that anchored them to Southwest Louisiana, where their love first blossomed.
Their wedding plans reflect their distinct personalities and shared values. A tapestry of fall colors—rich burgundies, warm mustards, and delicate peaches—will envelop their celebration, complemented by a theme that defies convention, reflecting their eclectic spirits.
