Melissa Trahan
Director of Visitors Experiences
Melissa leads Visit Lake Charles’ visitor services team, ensuring travelers receive helpful guidance and a welcoming introduction to Southwest Louisiana. In her role as Visitor Experience Director, she works closely with visitors, staff, and partners to share local knowledge and connect guests with the experiences, attractions, and events that define Louisiana’s Playground.
Melissa also oversees facility management for Visit Lake Charles’ Lake Charles office, coordinating building operations, vendor services, and maintenance to support a safe and efficient workplace for staff and visitors. She manages key operational systems, including visitor reporting, CRM data support, and retail operations within the visitor center.
With more than two decades of experience in hospitality and office management, Melissa serves as a trusted resource for visitors and colleagues alike while helping ensure the organization’s daily operations run smoothly.
