Sara Lasher has been a fixture in Lake Charles events since 2012, bringing her love of food, spirits and community to hundreds of weddings and celebrations across the region. What began as a side hustle grew into an event planning business, with highlights including producing the Louisiana Beer Festival and working alongside celebrity entertainers such as singer Bret Michaels and DJ Chris Kilmore.
A 13-year downtown resident, Sara has served on both the Downtown Business Association and Downtown Development Authority boards as well as the McNeese Alumni Board. She is a firm believer that Lake Charles is still building its skyline and is committed to playing her part in that story.

The Cajun's Wharf Grill & Bar on Ryan Street is a bar and grill with a menu that leans into local flavors — duck tenders with Cajun duck sauce, alligator kickers, a crispy catfish basket, and the Pelican Roll, a boudin-and-pork egg roll that pretty much sums up the fusion spirit of the place. The bar runs happy hour specials, live music on Thursdays, and a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights, making it as much a neighborhood hangout as a lunch stop.
