The Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA’s Living History Cemetery Tour brings the past to life with costumed actors portraying local figures at four historic cemeteries (Bilbo, Sallier, Combre Memorial and Orange Grove). Hear their stories and how they shaped the city. This self-guided tour lets you explore at your own pace.
Bayou Rum
See firsthand how Bayou Rum makes its spirit using Louisiana sugar cane. This distillery tour takes you behind the scenes, from educational videos to a guided journey of fermentation, distillation, and aging processes. Wrap up your visit with a tasting, then peruse the gift shop for exclusive Bayou Rum souvenirs. Don't forget comfy clothes, as temperatures vary throughout the tour. Tours are available Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and should be booked in advance.
Crying Eagle Brewing
Take a behind-the-scenes brewery tour, getting up close to the brewing process to learn the ins and outs of craft brewing. Individual tours are $35 and include a brief beer school with a flight after your tour. Group pricing is available upon request.
