Director of Sports Relations

Sam supports Visit Lake Charles’ sports tourism efforts with a focus on building relationships, recruiting events, and strengthening the region’s reputation as a premier sports destination. As Director of Sports Relations, he serves as a liaison between Visit Lake Charles, sports facilities, and event organizers, working to generate leads, increase room nights, and drive visitation to Southwest Louisiana.

Before joining Visit Lake Charles, Sam spent several decades as a high school baseball coach, most recently at Sulphur High School, where he built a strong reputation for leadership, mentorship, and program success. His extensive coaching experience allows him to anticipate the needs of teams, athletes, and event organizers, helping create seamless and successful sports experiences.

Sam is known for his relationship-driven approach and deep connection to the local sports community, bringing both experience and passion to his role in growing sports tourism across Southwest Louisiana
